Banks Long & Co secure development consultancy role for Bassetlaw District Council
Bassetlaw District Council have appointed Banks Long & Co to act as their development consultant relating to the delivery of the 5 ha Canalside Regeneration site in Worksop town centre.
The Council are keen to see the currently underused site situated immediately to the east of the town centre bounded to the north by the Chesterfield Canal and the south by the River Ryton, redeveloped to bring about a new vibrant quarter with a particular focus on employment generating uses.
Tim Bradford, Partner at Banks Long & Co, who will be leading the project commented: “The majority of the site is held within three large ownerships which provides an ideal foundation for the delivery of a commercially based development within a strategic location in the town centre. It is refreshing to see a Council taking a proactive approach to encouraging the regeneration of this type of site within Worksop.”
