Green Light for Improved NHS Services In Lincoln

Acting on behalf of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Banks Long & Co Chartered Surveyors of Lincoln, have secured new premises at United House, Outer Circle Road in Lincoln.

The premises have been acquired to facilitate the relocation of two recovery and mental health teams affected by the redevelopment of existing premises at St Georges Hospital on Long Leys Road in the City.

Approximately sixty staff will be utilising the premises, both visiting service users in the community and providing clinical services in an interview type setting on-site.

Project Team Leader Len Hartley comments, “The location of the building near to Lincoln County Hospital, on a frequent bus route and adjacent to the complimentary facilities of the Carlton Centre all contribute to the property being deemed ideal for our proposed use.  We had been scouring the market for appropriate opportunities for some months and as soon as the building became available we were confident that it would fulfill all of our requirements in improving services to the public.”

Acquiring agent, William Wall of Banks Long & Co adds, “Working closely with LPFT, we have been able to take advantage of the somewhat subdued office market and secure favourable terms on what is in effect a prestigious stand alone building that should facilitate the NHS Services to the public for the foreseeable future.”

Hodgson Elkington Surveyors of Lincoln acted on behalf of the owners of United House in the transaction.
