New business park to serve north Newark businesses.
Loughborough based developers William Davis Limited have unveiled plans for a new five acre development fronting the A1 corridor at Markham Moor, north of Newark.
Marketing agents Banks Long and Co of Lincoln and King Sturge of Nottingham are already reporting a healthy level of interest despite the much publicised economic downturn.
William Wall of Banks Long and Co comments: "William Davis quite rightly targeted the site for an industrial/distribution development as their market research showed latent demand for high quality accommodation in the north Newark area.
The units are available for sale or to let and a number of occupiers are considering potential relocation from Newark to the south or Doncaster to the north, owing to the excellent profile provided by the location immediately adjacent to the A1."
Stuart Kellie of William Davis adds: "Even in a toughening market, we perceive this stretch of the A1 between Peterborough and Doncaster as an emerging location for logistics and industrial occupiers. In particular the soon to be completed removal of the six roundabouts (including Markham Moor) will undoubtedly improve traffic flow and convince occupiers of the affordability and accessibility of the location which provides quick access to international airports such as Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport and ports such as Immingham."
