Grade II listed premises is being refurbished in readiness to operate a new restaurant business.
Acting on behalf of the owners of the Pickwicks Café, Andrew and Maxine Steer Banks Long and Co negotiated a new 6 year lease on competitive terms and subsequently went on to a sale of their long established café business which operates from attractive Grade II listed premises adjacent the historic Jews House.
Owing to the sensitivity of the location and importance of not disturbing established trade the leasehold property and business had to marketed on a discreet basis but despite these difficulties competitive interest was achieved and a sale agreed following receipt of tender bids. The Steers had traded from the premises since the mid 1980s and operated a traditional café business in what is a very strong tourist position in the Town. The new owners are now in occupation albeit refurbishing in readiness to operate a new restaurant business.
