Strong Start to the Year
Carrying on from where the firm finished 2009, Banks Long & Co have successfully concluded two large investment deals some 460 miles apart.
Acting for private pension fund clients the firm has acquired a town centre supermarket in Boscombe (Bournemouth) let to Sainsbury’s Plc for £5,600,000.
460 miles to the north and acting for specialist medical property investment clients, the Leith Mount Surgery, Edinburgh has been bought for a price in excess of £3,400,000.
Partner, Tim Bradford, said:
“These two acquisitions have satisfied the client’s requirements, but they have a hunger for more. The Sainsbury’s acquisition provides 71 years of secure income in a sector which continues to perform strongly in today’s difficult economic conditions.
The surgery investment adds another to a portfolio of medical investment acquisitions which we continue to build upon having acquired eight in 2009.
We pride ourselves on acting for clients who are straightforward to deal with and who understand the markets they are seeking to invest within.”
